I'm back

Well kids, I've not blogged for a while, but I'm back!

I've been really busy at work, working on sites for Cable and Wireless, D-Link and Cadbury's. Why not take a look at what I've been helping with over 2007.

So a quick catch up, since I last blogged, I've been up to all sorts...

...In December, I spent a week in Geneva with Nicole and Sam, it was very cold and snowy, but I got plenty of cuddles from Nicole and she even let me wear her (ear) muff....s. The snow got me in the mood for Christmas, so I spent some time drinking with my new buddy Rudolph, then we went ice skating, although I was pretty bad at that, so spent most of the day on my bum :(

Some pictures below, more on my photostream

I spent Christmas with Mat in Derby, and Son of Zippy spent his up near Stoke with Claire, where he ate so much he nearly burst!

Son of Zippy before he popped!Claire bought Son of Zippy some lovely chocolate coins, and Mat got me a satsuma and an apple. We bought them nothing in return!

Before all that, Chemistry Digital had it's Christmas Party, and being as I'm not allowed to drink, I volunteered to take lots of photographs, unfortunately that meant I wasn't in any of the photos, perhaps that's why everyone was so keen to let me take them!

So after Christmas, I was sooo tired from all the partying Tony and Sofia offered to take me on holiday to lovely, wet and windy Sweden, the 12th country I've visited with my amazing friends from Chemistry Digital. Sofia is from Sweden so we had a very good guide to the local customs and language...Tjéna, hur är det?

I've been living and working in Nottingham almost a year now, but with all the travelling I'd never had chance to see the local sights, so Steve decided to take me out for the day around this little town.

Being such a great company, Chemistry Digital decided we'd worked so hard in January that they would take us Go-Karting for the evening. After a long trip, and a lot of getting lost on the way to Wymeswold, we got suited up, got our game faces on and crashed into loads of tyres. Except of course for Lee, Karen H, Tony and Mark H on Team 3, who wiped the floor with the rest of us to claim the Chemistry Digital Karting Championship 2008.

So there you have it, as you can see I've been very busy, but I'll be writing loads this year, I promise.

See you soon kids

Wedding of the year...

Congratulations to James and Caroline who got married last weekend! I'm so glad I managed to make it, after being "tied-up" elsewhere all week and was very honoured when the Groom decided to promote me to chief usher. Apparently the previous employee hadn't been doing too well!

So a good time was had by all, and I drank far too much champagne, check out the pictures below, or view more on my Flickr photostream

Wear it Pink!

So today was Wear it Pink day for Breast Cancer Research but not wanting to spoil my orangey complexion I stuck to wearing a wonderful pink wig and dying my moustache for the event.

Hopefully we've raised lots of money, pics below...

Update: Zippy Kidnapping

As the evil girls at Chemistry have kidnapped my father I feel it my duty to keep you all up-to-date on the latest...

We have received a ransom demand in the form of an email from Mags Pietras (see below). The police believe that Mags is one of the lower level terrorists, but they don't know who the ring leader is yet.

We are working on the acquiring the ransom as we speak.

HELP! I've been kidnapped!!!

Hi Kids

I'll make this short as I've managed to sneak onto a computer in the Chemistry offices in Fulham while my kidnappers conspire to get filthy rich off ransom money in the other room.

As you might know I was off to Palma on the company away weekend with the lovely folks from Chemistry Digital...unfortunately Chemistry Fulham were also there, and some of them are clearly hardened criminals.

Despite this they managed to persuade my so-called "protectors" from Nottingham that I should visit Fulham for the week, and now I'm bound, gagged and having to type with my zip-end!

SOMEBODY HELP ME!

PS Son, please keep my blog up-to-date, because even in my time of need, my fans come first.

James' Stag Do

Me Dad's on holiday in Turkey, but to keep you all entertained he asked me to post this blog post he wrote before he left:...

Last weekend I went on James Hayward's stag do and had a great time! (Well most of it anyway). James is one of those odd people who likes Cricket so we started on Friday night by going to see Derbyshire get thrash by some old guys with zimmer frames. Unfortunately nobody told me I'd be tied to the guy for the evening, but we soon left the boring cricket and went to the pub. I had my first taste of Whisky and very soon forgot I was tied to some weirdo!

The next morning I woke up with a really bad headache! So I couldn't got paintballing with the rest of them :( and apparently they had a great time. But I was feeling all better to go out on the tiles on Saturday night and gorp at the girls who were young enough to be my daughter! :)

So in conclusion:
Cricket = :(
Whisky + Girls = :)

James is my friend on Facebook, why not add me as your friend?

Here are some photos from the party...

Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen...

So Friday night was the Chemistry Digital Awards night and what I night we had...

After having a few beers at Work (lemonade for me) we went off to the Salutation Inn in Nottingham for some real ale and sambuca! Again, I had lemonade :(

Then to all of our surprise we crossed the road to visit The Tales of Robin Hood where we dressed up as Knights, Ladies, Jesters and Wenches and enjoyed a medieval feast with plenty of beer...lemonade.

Below are some pictures from the night (or check out the photoset on Flickr), but first I must mention the awards winners!

Barcelona, Bloc Party and Bikini Babes

So I'm back from my latest trip. This time I've been to sunny Spain. I fell in love with Paella and Tapas, but more importantly I fell in love with my new favourite band....Bloc Party. I even touched Kele Okereke's arm as he came into the crowd (so to speak!).

The Summercase Festival was huge, and I got to see loads of cool artists like Arcade Fire, Lily Allen, The Flaming Lips, The Editors and best of all Mika was ill, so didn't turn up!

After a hard few days moshing in the sunshine, Dan and his brother, James, took me to see their Aunty and Uncle in Malaga, were we spent the rest of the week chilling out on the beach, checking out the girls in their bikinis. (Dan tried to get some photos, but kept getting rumbled, sorry!)

Son of Zippy goes to Glastonbury

Well being as my Dad's in Canada he had no choice but to let me go to Glastonbury and I had a great time! (The girls were just loving the orange man!)

It was so muddy I could've drowned, but Vicky and the girls really looked after me and helped me enjoy loads of massive artists like Arctic Monkeys, Killers, Kasabian, Shirley Bassey, the Magic Numbers, Just Jack, Bloc Party and my favourite, the Fratellis.

I DIDN'T WATCH MIKA!

Anyway here are some pictures of me and the mud...

Major hangover!

Ouch! With my Dad away in Canada, I had to represent the family at Mark and Marie's wedding on Saturday.

I had a great time and more importantly so did the Bride and Groom. (I'll post some pictures when I get some.)

Unfortunately Mark was a bad influence on me, and I drank far too much sambuca for a small guy, so now I have a really bad hangover.

But keep it to yourselves, because if my dad finds out, I'll be in trouble!

Good Luck Mark and Marie

Mark and MarieMark and Marie are getting married tomorrow and I'm sure my Dad would want to wish them good luck.

So good luck Mark and Marie from me and Dad (Zippy to you), we hope you have many happy years together.

Isle of Wight Festival

Hi Everybody, Son of Zippy here.

My Dad's off on his holidays again (he never takes me) but he's asked me to keep his blog up-to-date while he's away.

So here are some pictures of his trip to the Isle of Wight festival with Dan. He's told me all about how he saw the Fratellis, Keane, Amy Winehouse, the Rolling Stones etc. and how he really developed a taste for drinking coke.

Oh and he doesn't like the Feeling!

Isle of Wight Festival

This weekend Dan is taking me to the Isle of Wight festival and I can't wait!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Fratellis and Kasabian, they're my favourite bands, although I'm sure when I'm soaking up the festival "atmosphere", I'll love all the bands!

Que Sera Sera

Wow! I went to Wembley at the weekend to see the Play-off final!

Mat, from Chemistry Digital, took me as he is a huge Derby County fan and managed to persuade his Dad to buy him a ticket!

Not only that, but Simon, who's a West Brom fan, took my son, so it was a full family affair.

I donned my brand new Derby shirt at 6 o'clock on Monday morning and headed down to Pride Park to catch the bus. We eventually got to Wembley at dinner time and as you can see managed to take a few photos.

I won't go on too much about the result as my Son and Simon might be a bit miffed, but, as you're probably aware, Derby thrashed their opponents 1-0, with a brilliant goal by Stephen Pearson (his hair's orange, like mine!)

It was a fantastic day, and I can't wait to go back, hopefully Derby will do well in the Cup next year...

So today was Stripey Friday, and most people dressed for the occasion. I don't have too many stripey clothes (actually just clothes), so I borrowed a stripey scarf.

Check out the photos.

Stripey Zippy
Next Friday is Stripey Friday and we at Chemistry Digital will be having awards for "Most Stripey Person", "Most Original Stripey-ness", "Most Inappropriate Stripes" and the usual "Lifetime Achievement Award."

Look out next week for some pictures of us all in stripes, and of course to find out who has won th much-coveted awards.

Shaken not Stirred

It's Mel's birthday today and to celebrate she's having a themed James Bond party in town tonight.

Unfortunately it is illegal for Rugby balls to drink so, to avoid temptation, I won't be attending. However, to join in the spirit of things, I have dressed as James Bond for the day:

Zippy Bond

What do you think? Much better than that Daniel Craig fella!?

Here are some photos from my spy camera, I think that's Q with Mel!!!
