Norfolk and Keira K

So I've jut got back from Norfolk with my good friend Mat and his wifey Gemma.

We spent a lot of time walking around on the beach and eating and drinking in the masses of pubs around there. I sampled the local real ale, and really liked Nelson's Revenge!

Then we went to Holkham Hall to see the herds deer, and it turned out they were making a film there! I tried my best to get a picture with Keira Knightley, but she said her boyfriend might get jealous. I can understand...

Some pictures below, more on my photostream

Wedding of the year...

Congratulations to James and Caroline who got married last weekend! I'm so glad I managed to make it, after being "tied-up" elsewhere all week and was very honoured when the Groom decided to promote me to chief usher. Apparently the previous employee hadn't been doing too well!

So a good time was had by all, and I drank far too much champagne, check out the pictures below, or view more on my Flickr photostream

Wear it Pink!

So today was Wear it Pink day for Breast Cancer Research but not wanting to spoil my orangey complexion I stuck to wearing a wonderful pink wig and dying my moustache for the event.

Hopefully we've raised lots of money, pics below...

Palma Jolly with the ChemDig guys

So now I'm free of my captors I'll fill you all in on my happenings before the event. And we shall never talk about my ordeal again.

As you know I went to Palma last week on the work jolly and we had a good time. The hotel was great and I spent a lot of time in the spa, relaxing and working out the knots that web development has given me! The beach was lovely and the sun was shining so much some of the ladies took their tops off! :)

Anyway here's some pics...

Zippy Free!

Well, just in time to run off again, my dad is free!

Zippy safely returned with David Coe to Chemistry Digital today, and has immediately left to go to James and Caroline's wedding which takes place tomorrow.

When asked about his ordeal, Zippy remarked "I'd rather not speak about it, being tied to a chair is bad enough, but listening to those accents all day is torture!"

Update: Zippy Kidnapping - Ransom

Well it took us all day but the guys at Chemistry Digital finally pulled through and made the Rainbow video...here it is

Now send my dad back you evil b$%?$*@s

Update: Zippy Kidnapping

As the evil girls at Chemistry have kidnapped my father I feel it my duty to keep you all up-to-date on the latest...

We have received a ransom demand in the form of an email from Mags Pietras (see below). The police believe that Mags is one of the lower level terrorists, but they don't know who the ring leader is yet.

We are working on the acquiring the ransom as we speak.

HELP! I've been kidnapped!!!

Hi Kids

I'll make this short as I've managed to sneak onto a computer in the Chemistry offices in Fulham while my kidnappers conspire to get filthy rich off ransom money in the other room.

As you might know I was off to Palma on the company away weekend with the lovely folks from Chemistry Digital...unfortunately Chemistry Fulham were also there, and some of them are clearly hardened criminals.

Despite this they managed to persuade my so-called "protectors" from Nottingham that I should visit Fulham for the week, and now I'm bound, gagged and having to type with my zip-end!

SOMEBODY HELP ME!

PS Son, please keep my blog up-to-date, because even in my time of need, my fans come first.

Turkey with Layla

My new facebook friend Layla decided to take me on holiday to Turkey last week and as you can see from my photos we had a great time!

Unfortunately when I got back I found out that Facebook had closed my account down! :( I'll have to have a word with those Americans...

Thursday, September 20, 2007

Access Denied! :(

I tried to log in to Facebook today but couldn't!

I think somebody has gotten soooo jealous of my abundance of friends and love that they have reported me to the big wigs! I bet it was that George fella!

But don't worry you can still read all about my life here on my blog and look through my photos on Flickr.

James' Stag Do

Me Dad's on holiday in Turkey, but to keep you all entertained he asked me to post this blog post he wrote before he left:...

Last weekend I went on James Hayward's stag do and had a great time! (Well most of it anyway). James is one of those odd people who likes Cricket so we started on Friday night by going to see Derbyshire get thrash by some old guys with zimmer frames. Unfortunately nobody told me I'd be tied to the guy for the evening, but we soon left the boring cricket and went to the pub. I had my first taste of Whisky and very soon forgot I was tied to some weirdo!

The next morning I woke up with a really bad headache! So I couldn't got paintballing with the rest of them :( and apparently they had a great time. But I was feeling all better to go out on the tiles on Saturday night and gorp at the girls who were young enough to be my daughter! :)

So in conclusion:
Cricket = :(
Whisky + Girls = :)

James is my friend on Facebook, why not add me as your friend?

Oooh new pool table

My Dad will be gutted! While he's swanning off with his new friends, Chemistry Digital has bought a pool table! So now we can spend all our dinner hours potting reds and sinking yellows.

Just have to make sure I don't get hit, those balls are huuuuge!

Back from Austria off to Turkey

Well my Dad's jetsetting again so it's up to me to keep all his internet stuff up-to-date! :)

The old man just got back from his trip to Austria with KarenH, before jumping straight in the post to Doncaster to go on holiday with Layla (his new internet friend!).

He stayed in Mayrhofen in Austria and managed to visit Salzburg and the Mirabel Gardens. Apparently part of "The Sound of Music" was filmed there, but I have no clue about that as I'm only likkle.

He froze his nads off on the Hintertux glacier but Alan was kind enough to warm them up for him. (sounds a bit rude to me).

Anyway have a look at the photos he gave me before he buggered off again! (or for more take a look at the Flickr photostream)

Layla's party!

So, as I said, my Dad jumped in the post to go on holiday with his new internet friend, Layla and he arrived just in time for the party she was throwing...

Here are some photos from the party...

Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen...

So Friday night was the Chemistry Digital Awards night and what I night we had...

After having a few beers at Work (lemonade for me) we went off to the Salutation Inn in Nottingham for some real ale and sambuca! Again, I had lemonade :(

Then to all of our surprise we crossed the road to visit The Tales of Robin Hood where we dressed up as Knights, Ladies, Jesters and Wenches and enjoyed a medieval feast with plenty of beer...lemonade.

Below are some pictures from the night (or check out the photoset on Flickr), but first I must mention the awards winners!

Sunny Mallorca, here I come!

I'm off to sunny Mallorca in October for the Chemistry company away weekend!

David Coe, MD of Chemistry Digital and personal friend of mine, is taking me on the pre-holiday golf tour with the rest of the big wigs, and then we'll meet everybody else for sun, sea and Sangria.

I'll have some lovely photos to share with you all when I get back, but for now take a look at the Hotel Nixe Palace (below) where we'll all be staying.

If you work for Chemistry and are not already coming, there is still plenty of time to sign up, but don't forget the sun block!

Isle of Wight, Blackpool and the evil Croc!

Well I'm back from my trip to the Isle of Wight with James and Alison. We stayed near Ventnor on the south coast and the weather was great!

On one of the days, I'm too dazed to remember which one, we went to Blackgang Chine where I discovered a wild Crocodile. I had to wrestle it to save the kids, but I think he came off better than I did. Needless to say I had a sore head in the morning...

Then when we came back to lovely old England, we went for a day trip to Blackpool. It was really hot again, so I topped up my tan (I'm almost as orange as David Dickinson now!)

Take a look at some of my snaps below or for more pictures check out the photoset on Flickr

Barcelona, Bloc Party and Bikini Babes

So I'm back from my latest trip. This time I've been to sunny Spain. I fell in love with Paella and Tapas, but more importantly I fell in love with my new favourite band....Bloc Party. I even touched Kele Okereke's arm as he came into the crowd (so to speak!).

The Summercase Festival was huge, and I got to see loads of cool artists like Arcade Fire, Lily Allen, The Flaming Lips, The Editors and best of all Mika was ill, so didn't turn up!

After a hard few days moshing in the sunshine, Dan and his brother, James, took me to see their Aunty and Uncle in Malaga, were we spent the rest of the week chilling out on the beach, checking out the girls in their bikinis. (Dan tried to get some photos, but kept getting rumbled, sorry!)

I have forgiven Son of Zippy

I have decided to forgive Son of Zippy.

After I told him off earlier he showed me how hard he had been working finding me new Facebook friends, running a drawing competition, and updating my Flickr Account and Blog!

Check out what he's been up to:

My Flickr Account | My Flickr Photo Map | My Facebook Profile

He's also been working with Mat and Mark to build the Chemistry Digital Awards pages and a brand new look Life of Zippy website!!! COMING SOON!

Canada, and my naughty son!

Hi guys! I'm back from my trip to Canada with Karen and Andy. Wow! What a long plane journey it was too. But I was happy, because I had my walkman and the Fratellis album!

So I'll tell you a little bit about my trip, but first I've got to apologise for my sons behaviour! Since I've been away he has been a bit naughty and went to Glastonbury and got drunk at Mark and Marie's wedding, no doubt making a fool of his self!

So, below are some pictures from my trip to Canada, hope you like them, we went all over British Columbia (Vancouver, Hope, Princeton, Glacier National Park, Banff etc.) and I managed to see a Grizzly bear with cubs. She was pretty grouchy so we had to run, but not as fast as we ran from the American tourists who all wanted a piece of me! I didn't realise I was famous over there too!

Son of Zippy goes to Glastonbury

Well being as my Dad's in Canada he had no choice but to let me go to Glastonbury and I had a great time! (The girls were just loving the orange man!)

It was so muddy I could've drowned, but Vicky and the girls really looked after me and helped me enjoy loads of massive artists like Arctic Monkeys, Killers, Kasabian, Shirley Bassey, the Magic Numbers, Just Jack, Bloc Party and my favourite, the Fratellis.

I DIDN'T WATCH MIKA!

Anyway here are some pictures of me and the mud...

Major hangover!

Ouch! With my Dad away in Canada, I had to represent the family at Mark and Marie's wedding on Saturday.

I had a great time and more importantly so did the Bride and Groom. (I'll post some pictures when I get some.)

Unfortunately Mark was a bad influence on me, and I drank far too much sambuca for a small guy, so now I have a really bad hangover.

But keep it to yourselves, because if my dad finds out, I'll be in trouble!

Good Luck Mark and Marie

Mark and MarieMark and Marie are getting married tomorrow and I'm sure my Dad would want to wish them good luck.

So good luck Mark and Marie from me and Dad (Zippy to you), we hope you have many happy years together.

Isle of Wight Festival

Hi Everybody, Son of Zippy here.

My Dad's off on his holidays again (he never takes me) but he's asked me to keep his blog up-to-date while he's away.

So here are some pictures of his trip to the Isle of Wight festival with Dan. He's told me all about how he saw the Fratellis, Keane, Amy Winehouse, the Rolling Stones etc. and how he really developed a taste for drinking coke.

Oh and he doesn't like the Feeling!

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

Oh Canada!

Zippy CanadaWell I'm back from the Isle of Wight Festival, and it was AMAZING. But I'll save that story for another day.

As of tomorrow, I'll be on holiday for three weeks, in Canada with Karen B, so Son of Zippy will be taking over the blog until I get back. Hopefully his life will be as exciting as mine, but just in case, I've left him a few pictures to keep you all entertained...

Zippy in Die Hard...for instance, with the upcoming release of Die Hard 4.0 we've been working on a tribute with myself playing Jon McClane.

As well as that the guys at Chemistry will hopefully be able to add some of the Zippy 2.0 stuff they promised me, now that the Slim.Fast website is live.

So for a while, it's Adios (or whatever they say in Canada), hope you don't miss me too much!

Isle of Wight Festival

This weekend Dan is taking me to the Isle of Wight festival and I can't wait!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Fratellis and Kasabian, they're my favourite bands, although I'm sure when I'm soaking up the festival "atmosphere", I'll love all the bands!

Que Sera Sera

Wow! I went to Wembley at the weekend to see the Play-off final!

Mat, from Chemistry Digital, took me as he is a huge Derby County fan and managed to persuade his Dad to buy him a ticket!

Not only that, but Simon, who's a West Brom fan, took my son, so it was a full family affair.

I donned my brand new Derby shirt at 6 o'clock on Monday morning and headed down to Pride Park to catch the bus. We eventually got to Wembley at dinner time and as you can see managed to take a few photos.

I won't go on too much about the result as my Son and Simon might be a bit miffed, but, as you're probably aware, Derby thrashed their opponents 1-0, with a brilliant goal by Stephen Pearson (his hair's orange, like mine!)

It was a fantastic day, and I can't wait to go back, hopefully Derby will do well in the Cup next year...

Shaken not Stirred

It's Mel's birthday today and to celebrate she's having a themed James Bond party in town tonight.

Unfortunately it is illegal for Rugby balls to drink so, to avoid temptation, I won't be attending. However, to join in the spirit of things, I have dressed as James Bond for the day:

What do you think? Much better than that Daniel Craig fella!?

May the 4th be with you!

To celebrate May the 4th, Chemistry Digital had a Star Wars day. Most of them just used their weekend clothes during the week and as with all events like this I ended up having a family tiff with Son of Zippy. He eventually announced that he was my father, which confused the hell out of me, as I was supposed to be Obi Wan.

I think he read the script for the wrong episode!

Take a look at the pictures below. Spot the virgins!

My son, the Marathon Man

Yes, while I was on holiday with Mark & Marie, my boy was running the London Marathon in 25 degree heat wave! He was helped along by James, a friend of Simon B, and managed the course in 5 hours 7 minutes 23 seconds - faster than Gordon Ramsey!

He said, "It was very hot but all the fans cheering me on helped loads. Thanks to all that sponsored me too." He raised a total of 25p for the charity 'Good Old Days' for ex-television presenters who are on hard times, like Keith Chegwin.

Here are some photos from the day...

Norfolk with Not So Evil Mark

I really, really enjoyed my trip to Norfolk where I met some relatives on a Hook a Duck Slavery Stand at Cromer.

I managed to rescue an old friend from the Slavery Stand – George, who was still in his dressing gown so he must have been taken in the night. I visited the pier and had a photo with Janice who rescued me. Me and George had a shared pint in the Dolphin pub but I think this was too much for our 'ickle bodies. Of course an ice cream and a spot of sun bathing were in order.

I think I’m starting to like Mark again, so as long as he takes me on two more holidays I will consider him a good friend.

Can’t wait to go to Canada with Karen. Wow!

Wednesday, April 25, 2007

Congratulations to Mark and Marie

Zippy BridesmaidWhile I was in Norfolk with Evil Mark, Marie finally gave up waiting and forced Mark to agree to marrying her.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it as I will be in Canada with Karen B, but I have provided this picture of me as a bridesmaid, for Mark to keep in his pocket.

Congratulations guys.

Bonnie Scotland

Well kids I'm back from up Narth and did I have a good time or what? Other than Mat's wife not liking me it was a good holiday, although after she threw me in a tree I had to hide from her quite a lot. Stay tuned for an addition to my enemies list.

It was a very long drive up there, but I bought along some of my wife's music to pass the time.

Scotland's full of trees and kilts and stuff, check out the photos below for more.

My Son Has Gone Missing on RND07!

Where is SOZ(Son Of Zippy)? Where have you gone? Looks like I will need the help of all my friends and enemies at Chemistry to find my son, of all the days to go missing you decided to do it on the Red Nose Day :-( The team at Nottingham have helped create an interface to discover where my son has hidden, and for each person to find him I will denote a pound to RND because I need to see that my son is safe and sound. For those people not lucky enough to have been given the link to find SOZ I will upload some images to show what is going on - come on team, please find my son and quickly!!

And just to show you where my son sometimes likes to hide, here are some old pictures of him stuck in the fan - hope no one turns it on. And hiding in the fridge - guess the kid can't get enough milk.

Son of Zippy

More Son Fun
My Son and I
I took my son into work today to show him what I do and where I work. I think he was well impressed with all the happy people here, which reflects how good a job I'm doing.

Not sure if I'll be taking my son on holidays with me because it might be a bit too dangerous, I nearly ended up in prison when I jumped on the sculpture in the
museum at Oslo.

I think Evil Ross (background) is daydreaming about putting me in the bin :(
